| As a convenient vehicle, it had offered convenient for people while had broughtsome losses on people’s lives and property. In order to reduce this loss, thecrashworthiness safety of vehicle had paid researchers and people’s attention gradually. We hope that most of energy caused by crash was absorbed by the structure. Thecharacteristics of crash energy absorption related with the various parts of vehicle.Through the relevant experiments study, the frame is the most important energyabsorption component, and over50%of impact energy are absorbed by the framefrontal rail. Therefore, studying the crash characteristic of the frame frontal rail is ofgreat significance. As a high energy-absorbing structures, the metal thin-walled beams were widelyused in the frame frontal rail. Domestic and foreign scholars carried out extensiveresearch on crash characteristics of the metal thin-walled beams for a long time anddrew a conclusion:Good energy-absorption while collisions peak force is too high;Collision peak force is low while energy-absorption is unsatisfactory. However, theywere seldom study these mixed thin-walled beam with variable section, which iscomponent of Good energy-absorption and lower collisions peak force. Consequently,Based on the current research situation, building a several of models and analyzing itform energy-absorption, collisions peak force etc. Hope to get an ideal collisionthin-walled beam.Firstly, this article expound the current situation, and confirmed a range ofparameters for thin-walled beam, described the setting up process of the geometrymodel and FE model in detail. Secondly, Then LS-DYNA is applied to analyse thecrashworthiness of six kinds of mixed thin-walled rail with variable sections. Finally, using RSM,DOE and Matlab software to do Crashworthiness parameters optimization. And compared the energy-absorbing of two thin-walled beams, obtained the ratio ofcrash energy-absorbing is faster than before one, and collisions peak force is improvedfrom320kN to201kN. According to this research, it can offer some reference value insuch of this crashworthiness research. |
