The long-term stress monitor in construction and operating periods of long spanbridge can be realized by the embedded sensor and surface-mount sensor. We canmonitor the dead load stress in construction period and after the bridge is put intooperation period, we can also monitor the dead load sress and live load stress togetherseveral years by installing embedded sensor.However, the lifetime of embedded sensoris short and can not replace.On the other hand, we can monitor the live load stress inoperation period by installing surface-mount sensor on the surface of bridge. Althoughthe surface-mount sensor has the advantage of being replaced conveniently,it can notmonitor the dead load effect in operation period. Therefore, we could not monitor thelong-term stress of bridge with considering dead load and live load together in the pastafter the embedded sensor fail to work, which made monitoring stress of structure inconstruction period and operation period separately and could not effectively combinedso that failed to achieve the desired monitoring effect. This topic is to analysis andsummarizes the correlation of stress monitoring information which could be obtainedfrom embedded sensor and surface-mount sensor by means of regression analysismethod in mathematical statistics, and establish the association model of full life stressmonitoring based on embedded and surface-mount sensor in long span bridge.This paper summarizes the basic theory of correlation analysis and its process; theroutine content of monitoring in the construction period and operation period. Combineorganically the embedded sensor inside the structure and the surface-mount sensor inoperation period, discusses the significance of collaborative monitoring model basedon the embedded and surface-mount sensors, and research the monitoring informationeigenvalue analysis method from the eigenvalue of sample monitoring information bysimple random sampling. By means of regression analysis in mathematical statistics,research the correlation analysis method of monitoring information during constructionand operation periods, after that, by finding the correlation of stress monitoring valuesbetween the two sensors in operation period, proposing a mathematical model, andestablishing the associated mode of monitoring information during construction andoperation periods, the terminal purpose is to fulfill the full life health monitoring oflong span bridge with considering the dead load and live load together.Finally, this paper relying on Nu jiang Bridge of Yunnan provence, verified the accuracy and achievablity of the mathematical model and the association patterns. Assurface-mount sensors have not been installed, the author use computer randomsimulation monitor data on which based the previous years’ operating reports andreal-time embedded sensor stress monitoring information combined with the bridgestructure analysis, to have correlation analysis with the monitoring information of thecorresponding position embedded sensor.The correlation analysis of monitoring information during construction andoperation periods in this paper can fulfill the full life stress monitoring of bridge. It hasa wide range of engineering application prospect and it is expected to achievesignificant economic and social benefits.
