With the more attention to the vehicle structure and running quality,drive axle asan important part in wheel excavator, being high load and in worse working condition,having the danger of fracture very easily,whose dynamic performances have graspedpeople’s attention. The article is based on Chongqing dajiang industry group scientificand technological project “Research on the key technology of the wheel excavatoraxle”, So FEM and multi-body dynamic simulation are combined to study the dynamicperformances of wheel excavator drive axle.The mainly contents of this article are shown below:(1)In order to analyze the dynamic performances of drive axle housing, accordingto the requirements of bearing tonnage, the article comparative analyzes the modalanalysis of different housing thickness in the free and the prestressing force condition,obtaining the first natural frequency and vibration modal and the regular influenced bythe prestressing force and housing thickness, it assesses the drive axle dynamicperformances.(2) In order to optimize the axle housing structure, having the best dynamicperformances, so that it can avoid happening resonance and flutter, the article does theharmonic response based on modal analysis to the different housing thickness, whichexplores the amplitude-frequency characteristic, then the article obtains the best axlehousing thickness when it has the best dynamic performances, meanwhile it can findsthe dangerous position by analyzing the amplitude-frequency curves.(3) In order to analyze the dynamic performances of drive axle main reducergear, the article definites the contact parameters, then does the dynamic responsessimulation analysis in starting、low speed driving straight、high speed driving straightbased on real structure parameters, the change regular of gear meshing force isobtained. And analyzes the change regular of gear meshing stationary influenced byinstallation distance which is selected by experience in practical engineering project,which has important significance for reducing vibration and noise.(4) In order to flexible effects of shaft to the drive axle dynamic performances ofwheeled excavator, the article completes the dynamic simulation analysis in theuniform rectilinear and turning operation by imposing on load and restriction,definiting contact parameters. The article forms drive axle rigid-flexible coupling multi-body dynamic simulation model after the flexibility of shaft, then it comparativeanalyzes the dynamic responses results and rigid system model simulation results,which obtains the influence regular of flexible effects to drive axle dynamicperformances.
