Aiming at the fitting formula of vertical ultimate bearing capacity of Cuplok support scaffold with diagonal brace, firstly, the value of diagonal brace rigidity is solved, and the FE analysis for ultimate bearing capacity of Cuplok support scaffold without diagonal brace is followed. Then based on the two steps, the ultimate bearing capacity of Cuplok support scaffold without and with diagonal brace is given and the corresponding fitting formulas are put forward.For taking value of diagonal brace rigidity of Cuplok support scaffold, a method for solving equivalent spring rigidity is proposed. In this method, the influence factors of semi-rigidity of nodes connecting standards and ledgers, boundary conditions, initial geometric imperfections and spigot joints of upper and lower extended ends of standard are taken into account. By adjusting the boundary rotational rigidity and the axial rigidity of spring of lower and upper extended ends of standard successively, the values of calculation of finite element are fit to the experimental values and the equivalent spring rigidity is obtained.-The ultimate bearing capacity of Cuplok support scaffold without diagonal brace is obtained after a number of FE analysis. Through analysing the results by the data fitting method of Matlab software, the fitting relationship among the bearing capacity and the number of steps and crosses is put forward. Then, influence coefficient of bearing capacity is obtained after analysing the changed step length, cross span, and the length of upper and lower extended ends. Based on these, the fitting formula of ultimate bearing capacity of Cuplok support scaffold without diagonal brace is put forward.After the equivalent spring rigidity is known, obtain the ultimate bearing capacity of Cuplok support scaffold with diagonal brace and compare it with that without diagonal brace to get the proportional coefficient. Then, analyse the influence to the bearing capacity after changing the same three factors. Based on these, the fitting formula of ultimate bearing capacity of Cuplok support scaffold with diagonal brace is put forward.
