The overheat of cable, cable intermediate joint and terminal head can causeexplosion, fire, and other serious accident, if it is not found and dealt with ontime. And that is a serious factor influencing on production safety. If it iscapable to monitor cable running temperature in real-time, these accidents canbe avoided in advance and potential safety problems of the cable operation willeliminate in the bud.In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, this paper uses thedistributed optical fiber temperature measurement system (DTS) to detect thepower cable temperature conditions. This article based on the analysis of thepresent situation of the distributed optical fiber temperature measurementsystem at home and abroad, finally selects a kind of distributed optical fibertemperature measurement scheme. This scheme is based on the Ramanscattering principle. This paper introduces the characteristics of the temperaturemeasuring system. On the basis of Raman scattering, a distributed optical fibertemperature sensor system is designed. This paper analyses the main technicalindexes and the key technology, designs the test system based on the hosts,sensing fiber and test network, and designs distributed optical fiber temperaturemeasurement system software platform. Finally, according to the systemrequirements, this paper plans the system construction, and designs the relatedexperiments of the system.
