With the further development of social economy in Guangzhou, the power-need structurehere is closed to the developed country, different kinds customers of electricity demand isincreasing, too. The supplies and services of electric power should be matched with therequirements for electricity which growing steadily In spite of the leading level ability ofoperation and management, Guangzhou local power supply support is still insufficient, whichis far away from the international metropolis power supply enterprise. The increasingcontradiction between power supply and demand making the system load characteristic hasundergone enormous changes. Not only making great changes to the safe and stable operationof power grids, but also bringing lots difficulties to power network planning, load forecastingand marketing.Researching on a reasonable classification method of load, this project makes full use ofthe means of information technology. By means of interacting several existing systems,basing on the real-time data platform, we integrate multiple production system data resources,and build Guangzhou power grid real-time load characteristic analysis of automation system.The system has the function of load classifying, data statistics, analysis and management,which establish a good foundation of deepen research and application. According to sortingout historical data of nearly three years, we make cluster analysis on the whole network ofvarious types of load curve, then sum up the typical load curve types and typical circuits. Weconsider history air temperature data and power load data with load economical, high qualityevaluation into account category. Through the field test and analysis, we assess the systemoperation status, actual operation performance and utility of overall evaluation. Consider withthe constant accumulation of field test data and experience, some improvements should bedone. The aim is providing the quality technical analysis platform of information for decisionmakers to master the power grid.
