Energy, resources and environment are not only the foundation of human survival, but also the constraints of social and economic development. But with the increasing depletion of fossil energy and serious environmental pollution, clean energy development and utilization is highly valued by government and science and technology researchers. Wind energy, nuclear energy, solar energy are the community’s three clean energy now. New energy development and utilization is one of the key issues for modern engineering and technical applications. A solar thermal power generation technology has the capabilities to be large-scale and enter the business of technology in the near future. It is not only a hot issue of energy technology development but also the focus of international solar energy technology development. In our case, the first solar thermal power level of1MW pilot plant is built in Yanqing County, Beijing, China.This paper summarizes the basic structure and principle of solar thermal power system. The working principle of solar hybrid power regenerative energy storage system and solar thermal power operating mode in different conditions are in-depth researched. The paper analyzed the key control difficulties of solar thermal power system process, and proposed a fuzzy adaptive internal model control strategy of solar thermal power heat storage system according to the obtained plant model by available experimental results. The control strategy can be practical and the simulation was taken on. This article also describes the project application of "Badaling experimental solar thermal power plant". This paper describes the site conditions of tower experimental solar thermal power plant in Yanqing Beijing, and the site conditions and the DCS control interface of endothermic systems and heat storage system are briefly described. Finally it introduced the purpose and current progress of field trials experiment, and analyzed the main problems of mirror field, including field trials drum control in order to propose a simple solution.
