The stone coal produced by thermal power plant coal mill is of high temperature, large granule, high hardness, and also accompanied by dust. So it is difficult to convey. In order to ensure the transmission efficiency, raise the level of production automation, reduce pollution to the surrounding environment, this paper researches the design of stone coal negative pressure pneumatic conveying system, which is of important engineering applications.Firstly, this paper researches the composition and feature of pneumatic conveying system, and compares positive and negative pressure pneumatic conveying systems with artificial, mechanical and hydraulic conveying systems. It summarizes the characteristics of each conveying mode to choose negative pressure pneumatic conveying system, and completes the design of stone coal negative pressure pneumatic conveying system. Then, based on the China Power Group Tianjin Binhai Cogeneration Co., Ltd, according to the arrangement of the power plant, this paper designs stone coal negative pressure pneumatic conveying system using the measured dates, and introduces the system components and working principle in detail. By the gas-solid two-phase fluid mechanics calculation method, the paper chooses three different working conditions in the design calculation of stone coal negative pressure pneumatic conveying system, and compares the computational results. Through the design calculation, it calculates the related parameters of system operation process, including the pipe diameter of the system pipeline, the suspension speed of tone coal, the air velocity and pressure loss in the system operation process, and the power of roots blower. Finally, this paper researches the conveying jam and wear faults in the process of pneumatic conveying, summarizes the reasons and the corresponding measures. The investigative achievements of this paper are full of theory reference value and active meaning for the conveying of thermal power plant stone coal, it also provides a new idea for the delivery of thermal power plant stone coal.
