Promoting renewable energy application in building is the inevitable choice of national energy strategy. The rational development and utilization of shallow geothermal energy is an important renewable energy application field which could help solve the building heating, air conditioning, hot water supply, etc. It is very significant to replace conventional energy and promote the building energy efficiency. This article studied the applicability and energy-saving features of the ground source heat pump system in Nanjing, as well as the test and analysis to the actual operation effect of typical ground source heat pump system.This thesis gathered the collection of the statistical data of annual temperature and humidity distribution in Nanjing, and analyzed the shallow geothermal energy resources, including groundwater resources and soil geothermal resources. It also studied the resources and the sub-areas of development and utilization, and analyzed some geological environment problems which may arise during the process in the development and utilization of shallow geothermal energy resources. It also researched the fresh water resource capacity, temperature distribution characteristics of the main river basin, rivers, lakes, etc, and lay stress on the research of temperature distribution on the north of the Yangtze river estuary water and Tianying lake water. This paper also did the investigation of the sewage resource distribution in Nanjing and discussed the feasibility of the sewage-source heat pump system, as well as the social and economic benefits.The annual energy consumption of the three typical examples---office, hotel and residential buildings were simulated, which served as the basis to analyze the energy consumption features and varying pattern of Nanjing. The thesis summarized system performance evaluation method of the ground source heat pump. Considering from the source side temperature condition, calculation formulas of IPLV under the refrigeration or heating are deduced. Also, calculation evaluation model of energy saving reduction was established to forecast energy conservation and emissions reduction benefits of ground-source heat pump system in Nanjing.In this paper, the author made tracking test and evaluated the effect of operation in typical project. According to the computing method of IPLV under the refrigeration or heating, which was put forward above, the value of IPLVc and IPLVh were calculated. Then the article analyzed the source side temperature change law and the influence of the performance of the water chiller in different systems, as well as the practical energy saving effect of ground-source heat pump system.
