Recent years, due to the increasingly serious environment and resource issues, development and utilization of renewable resources are valued. As a mature technology for renewable energy use, using wind power to generate electricity has been rapid development. It gets more and more attention on power generation.Compared to the doubly-fed wind power generation system with a variable speed and constant frequency, synchronous direct driven wind power system eliminates the need for a gearbox, which reduces the instability of the equipment and mechanical losses of gearbox, with high conversion efficiency, high reliability, flexible control. This advantages make it well-developed.The paper studies the characteristics and operation mechanism of wind turbine and permanent magnet synchronous generator to establish a permanent magnet direct driven wind power generation system model, including wind speed model, wind turbine model, permanent magnet synchronous generator model and control system model.This article discusses and compares the advantages and disadvantages of the different wind power generation system. It Analyses the principle of permanent magnet synchronous generator. On this basis, the mathematical model of the proposed machine is built respectively in the a-b-c and d-q-0reference frame. The common topology in wind power converter are introduced and the back-to-back PWM converter is adopted as the interface between the wind power generation system and the grid. The control model of the back-to-back PWM converter is discussed and a control strategy using Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) method is adopted. Different current control strategies are tested and compared while changing the dq current commands of the generator. The performance of those current control strategies applied to the direct-drive wind power generation system are analyzed.The simulation model of the wind power generation system is built under the MATLAB/Simulink environment, using the simplified wind model. The simulation results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the control strategy, Prove the correctness of the model to take.
