Optimization Strategy Of Landscape To Hexi Riverfront In Xiangtan Under The Background Of Urban Regeneration

The charm of city lies in its specific culture and character. Nowadays, the rapidurbanization leads to the fast extinction of cultural features and spiritual characters incities. As one of the CZT Pilot Zone,the urban regeneration of Xiangtan meansopportunities and challenges as well.Based on the background of the appeal of Urban Regeneration in Xiangtan,thispaper described the theoretical study on the optimization of urban landscape.Itexplained some Concept such as Urban Memory and regeneration,Optimization ofUrban Waterfront Space, Culture Landscape Protection, etc. It analyzed the status oflandscape spatial optimization in Hexi riverfront in Xiangtan. The contradictionbetween the appeal of Urban Regeneration,waste of landscape resources and loss ofurban culture,which exists widely in many urban districts was put forward. Problemssuch as the neglect of urban culture and memory in the urban regeneration,the wasteof waterfront space ecology and water accessibility landscape resource,loss of culturelandscape resource.According to these problems, this paper proposed the elements ofregional landscape optimization by method of applies the various, diversified, andinterdisciplinary.The elements were as follows: urban culture rehabilitation,riverfrontspace optimization, cultural landscape protection. This paper presents the principlesand strategies as follows：The orientation of urban regeneration in Xiangtan which isdirected by culture and treat public as the owner.Riverfront spatial optimization whichcomply with ecological features, hydrophilicity,and publicity.The urban culturallandscape protection which abide by intactness, authenticity, comprehensiveness andLiving Protection.At last,it gives some case analysis to some existing biding planningby using some related theories and the principle direved by this paper.This paper tries to arouse Xiangtan and many other similar cities to pay attentionon the metod of urban landscape optimization in in their process of development andrenainssance, to promote the development and innovation of cultural renaissance ideain Xiangtan, and to provide some valuable theories and reference of landscapeoptimization and Urban Regeneration for Hexi riverfront in Xiangtan.
