High efficient grinding and polishing becomes a hot research topic of optical parts in the recent several years. The research and development of this technology directly promote the industrial production of modern photoelectric products, equipment and instruments. It also makes the optical technology been widely applied.This paper introduced the advanced high efficient grinding and polishing techniques of optical parts. Beginning with the principle of solid abrasive grinding(as diamond pellet grinding) and Quasi-spherical center polishing method, this paper focuses on the research of solid abrasive grinding, super grinding and frecision arc swing polishing techniques, which is based on much of experiments and practice. It also includes a full analysis of the various technological factors on the grinding, super grinding and Quasi-spherical center polishing, and details the required equipments and accessories.Experiments show that:solid abrasive grinding technique can greatly improve the surface finish and surface figure of grinding parts, as well as the polishing efficiency.By super grinding, optical glass parts can improve productivity nearly doubled, the germanium crystal infrared optical parts production efficiency is3. Compared with classical polishing and high efficiency-polishing, the optical parts produced by precision arc swing polishing machine with Quasi-spherical center polishing method have more stable quality and higher quality of surface figure.Based on the mechanism of solid abrasive grinding and polishing technique,this paper gives a method, which is combined with in-depth study of processing method and process features of high efficient grinding and polishing and the techniques of solid abrasive grinding, super grinding and quasi-spherical center polishing, to greatly improve the efficiency in the production and product quality of optical parts.
