Recent years, prefabricated reinforced concrete bridge piers have been widelyresearched and used at home and abroad, with the trend of architecture industrialization inChina, development of times requires improvement of the technology of segmentalprecast and assembly in bridge piers. The development of prefabricated bridge piers notonly can make construction more convenient, but also well protect working environmentand reduce construction costs. Thus, by means of theoretical research and engineeringapplication, it can improve the level of China’s bridge construction, promote urbanconstruction, and have a positive impact on the promotion of economic development.Based on a combined experiment between our university and Hachinohe Institute ofTechnology, theoretical and numerical simulation analysis on mechanical performance ofthe prefabricated reinforced concrete piers is done in this article. In the experiment, theeffect of main bar’s kind, main bar’s connection method, main bar’s fixing method;prestress bar’s tension means on mechanical performance of members is considered. In thetheoretical analysis, by using related standard evaluating methods, mechanicalperformance of members is evaluated, and the differences between these mechanicalperformance is discussed; In numerical simulation analysis, combining fiber beam elementmethod and entity element method, deeply analyzing the effect of different kinds ofassembly on the overall mechanical performance. The main contents of this article are asfollows:1.In the experiment of prefabricated reinforced concrete bridge piers, mechanicalperformance such as displacement-load hysteretic, failure mode, plastic hinge length andso on, the differences of mechanical performance between prefabricated bridge piers andconstruction bridge piers are compared.2.Mechanical performances of piers such as flexural capacity, shearing capacity,ductility capacity, energy consumption capacity, plastic hinge length are theoreticallyanalyzed. 3.Based on numerical analysis software ABAQUS, by means of the fiber beamelement method and the entity element method, parameters comparison analysis of mainbars kind, main bar’s connection method, main bar’s fixing method, prestress bar’s tensionmeans are done, the effect of different parameters on mechanical performance of piersmembers.
