With the advancement of science and technology and the unceasing enhancement ofindustrial modernization level, the accuracy requirements on CNC rotary table growingday by day. Torque ripple about CNC torque motor become one of the hot research topicswhich may affect the precision of the servo control system directly and when running inlow speed the vibration may happen thus the machining precision may be affectedaccordingly. The design technology and torque ripple suppression techniques about theCNC rotary table with ring permanent magnet torque motor are conducted and the ringpermanent magnet torque motor of the stress is analyzed in this thesis.Firstly, in order to get cogging torque waveform curves under different slot width andachieve the best slot width size, the finite element analysis about the effects brought by theparameters change of pole-slot matches and slot width is conducted through AnsoftMaxwell software. The feasibility of this kind of motor is analyzed through auxiliary tankoptimization methods. The improvement of the back EMF waveform was conducted byadopting optimal permanent magnet shape, thus achieve the aim of reducing the coggingtorque and torque ripple accordingly.The electric load A and magnetic load Bδwere estimated and the size of the motorwere determined further according to the direct drive ring permanent magnet torque motormagnetic circuit design and characteristic features, combined with its applications andpractical design experience, together with the design thought of permanent magnettorque motor, which including the structure of inner rotor, permanent magnet multi-polarsurface mounted, scores tank concentrated winding form and stator water cooling structure.Then the motor stress field analysis were finished, cogging torque and torque ripplecalculations which were finished by the finite element software and the temperature rise ofthe motor is checked through thermal network method, thus the optimization design of thetorque motor has been finished. Secondly, analysis on the permanent magnet torque motor and the calculation andanalysis about the stress field for different rotor outer diameter of the stress field arecarried out through ANSYS WORKBENCH software. Besides, the air gap after eccentricmotor stress is analyzed also.In the end, the temperature rise test and the cogging torque test is conducted on apermanent magnet torque motor, the test results verified the correctness of the finiteelement method..
