| Monitoring and Early-warning System for Cargo Unusual Status of TruckWith the rapid growth of the national economy, the transport industry has been rapiddevelopment which leads to an increasingly serious safety situation of China’s traffic,resulting in a large number of casualties and serious traffic accident. We have done alot of work about prevention of road traffic accidents, due to lack of awareness oftraffic safety laws and poor security capabilities of traffic participants, the road trafficsafety situation is still not optimistic. Road traffic accidents caused by the operation oftrucks have caused great threat to people’s lives and property safety, which becomeone of the key issues of road traffic safety to be solved. Therefore, the nationallong-term science and technology development plan clearly made “Focus ondeveloping traffic accident prevention early warning and emergency treatmenttechnology†as one of the key technologies of the field of transportation neededpriority to solving. Also listed “safety of operational vehicle operation monitoringtechnology and equipment†as national key scientific and technological needs in“National Road Traffic Safety Science and Technology Action Plan†which jointlylaunched by Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Public Security and theMinistry of Transport in Feb2008Summarized the researches about detection and control for cargo overload andvehicle rollover deed to partial load domestic and foreign, and then determined themain research content. By analyzing the characteristics of the vehicle Load-bearingstructure and leaf spring of suspension, then determined the method of detectingvehicle Cargo by measuring the variation of the vertical distance between the frameand the axle.A vehicle cargo detecting device was developed by using cable-displacementsensor after contrasted the different characteristics between potentiometerdisplacement sensor, hall displacement sensors, optical displacement sensor andcable-displacement sensor. Based on the characteristics of the load detecting device and the relevant parameters and provisions of the vehicle identified four vehicle loaddangerous state which are overloading, partial load, slipping and falling off. Bycalculation and analysis, the method of identification of the vehicle load dangerousstate was determined.Based on MC9S12XEP100dual-core16-bit microcontroller developed themonitoring and warning system of safety performance for operating vehicle. Thebuilt-in embedded date processing program was written in CODEWARRIOR5.0working environment. The advantages of this microcontroller, the developingmethods of software and the date processing program are introduced in details.According to relevant test standards, a series of tests were done for the system, suchas high and low temperature test, mechanical vibration test, mechanical shock test anddrop test. The reliability of the monitoring and warning system of safety performancefor operating vehicle was verified by comparing the date collected from before test,being test and after test.Calibration tests for load detection sensor were carried out when completed themonitoring and warning system of safety performance for operating vehicle, thendetermined the non-linear relationship between the vertical load and the outputvoltage of the four cable displacement sensor. We have carried out vehicle road test infive different loading conditions in FAW testing ground. The results of analysis of thetest data have verified the accuracy and reliability of the system in different drivingcycle. The reliability of the system was verified by the result of the test date witheight different bad road tests again. |
