With the development of society and the progress of the automobile technology,theenvironmental pollution and energy crisis is gradually coming out. So hybrid electricvehicle has gradually become a research focus. There are three types of the HEVconfigurations: series, parallel, series-parallel.Each of them has advantages anddisadvantages, and the series-parallel is a form of advantages of both series and parallel. Inall of the series-parallel configuration, the most popular is EVT type (including a planetarygear mechanism of hybrid power coupler).Because it can achieve the dual decoupling ofengine torque and speed, and enable the engine to run at the optimal curve. EVT has manykinds of configurations, each configuration has its own advantages and disadvantages. Atpresent, foreign research and study of EVT configuration, has already been quite mature,however, the domestic research in this area is still very deficient. So, this paper set out fromthe foreign research results of EVT: study abroad performance in recent years, the excellentEVT configurations, and the configuration characteristics, so as to provide a reference forthe domestic automobile enterprises in independent research and development of EVT.Because HEV not only has one power source---enjine, and also comprises a motor anda generator as the power source.During the mode switch, the engine dynamic responsespeed is much slower than motor response speed, so sometimes the vehicle required powercan’t be satisfied, and even the vehicle jerk becomes very big within a short time. Therefore,we need to analyze the dynamic characteristics of power sources and mode switchingprocess, and then we can use the motor torque compensation principle to achieve dynamiccoordinated control of power source, so as to ensure its good dynamic coordination effect.In this paper, we use Lexus GS450h (dual-planetary gear hybrid electric vehicle)as theresearch object, to research the dynamic coordination control algorithm, and make proper simulation analysis. This paper mainly studies the following aspects:First, this paper makes EVT configuration analysis. Takingthe research of Toyotacompany and GM company as the representative of the excellent EVT configuration,summed up its advantages and disadvantages and configuration evolution rules, to provide areference for domestic independent research and development.Second, this paper makes the characteristics analysis of engine, motor, and thedynamic analysis of double planetary hybridEVT configuration,what’s more, we choose theimpact of jerk as evaluation index of coordinated control.Third, this paper makes the engine start-up as the typical mode switch process, usingthe motor torque compensation principle, to make the dynamic control algorithm of thisprocess. Analyze of the switching process between the high and low gear, and set up thegear switching control algorithm.Fourth,this paper builds the control model of engine starting process and high-low gearswitching process by using AMESim software and Matlab/simulink software. Then simulatethe model,optimize the algorithm, and get the best control result, so as to improvethevehicle power performance and reduce the jerkduring mode-switch.
