The goal of this thesis is to design a servo controller which is based on thepermanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), the sensored field oriented controlalgorithm and power factor correction (PFC). The thesis mainly focuses on thehardware design of the servo controller.Firstly, the thesis gives a system design of the servo controller’s hardware based onthe given motor. The hardware of the servo controller mainly consists of the controlcircuits module, AC power entry module, the two-phase interleaved power factorcorrection module, the three-phase inverter module and the auxiliary power supplymodule, etc.Secondly, the thesis analyses each module of the servo controller’s hardware andproposes the design requirements of each module in detail.Thirdly, the thesis discusses the circuits design of each module through theselection of suitable circuits type and the calculation on the basis of the designrequirements.Finally, the thesis gives some suggestions for the following work.
