The engineering properties of earth-rock composite medium behave with goodcompacting effect, strong perviousness, large packing density, high shear strength,small settlement deformation, high bearing power etc. So it is widely used in hydraulicengineering and subgrade engineering.But the structure of earth-rock compositemedium material is complex, the mechanical properties are controled by manyfactors.For confirming meeting engineering requirement and being economic andreasonable earth-rock composite medium, it is closely linked of the earth-rockcomposite medium mechanics mechanical properties. However, the research onmechanical characteristics of the composite soil-rock medium is rare.And there is veryfew achievement. In view of this, the paper relies on Key Laboratory of Fundamentalproject with hydraulic engineering in Chongqing Jiaotong University named“Reserching the dynamic characteristics of the earth-rock composite medium based onGDS soil dynamic triaxial test system".Change law and tendency of mechanical properties onearth-rock composite medium is analyzed by static and dynamic experiment, and then theory modelof mechanical properties on earth-rock composite medium is also obtained. The mainly researchcontent and results are as follows:①Relationships of stones content, maximum dry density, optimum moisture contentare obtained by the compaction tests of earth-rock composite medium with differentstone content which can provide basic data for follow-up tests.②T est results are analyzed by static triaxial test of earth-rock composite mediumwith GDS dynamic triaxial apparatus, several basic types of stress-stain curves areobtained, and the change tendency of static parameters with different stones content isgiven.③T est results are analyzed by dynamic triaxial test of earth-rock composite mediumwith GDS dynamic triaxial apparatus, dynamic characteristics of the earth-rockcomposite medium are obtained, the influence factors of dynamic characteristics arestudied, and the relationship between dynamic parameters, rock content and intensity isgiven.④Basedon the analysis of static and dynamic characteristics of earth-rock compositemedium, the Mohr-coulomb rule is still valid under the condition of static loads, and giving calculation formula of dynamic parameters with different stones content andintensity.
