In recent years, Steel box arch bridge developed rapidly in china, and many word recordshave been created. Specially, the long span steel box handle-basket arch bridge is concernedbecause of its beautiful modeling and good stress results. Advanced construction methodshave promoted the development of the long span steel box arch bridge, and corresponding tothese construction methods, some studies on control methods have obtained many fruitfulachievements.This paper takes Chongqing Beibei Chaoyang reconstruction bridge as the projectbackground. This paper does deeply researches on the control methods and the keytechnologies of construction control referring to the long span steel box handle-basket archbridge. The main work includes several aspects as follows:①According to the cable erection characteristic of long span steel box handle-basket archbridge, the paper proposes reasonable control methods and establishes scientific control systemwhich is used to the construction control of Chongqing Beibei Chaoyang reconstruction bridge.②The paper uses forward analysis and backward analysis methods to simulate theconstruction process and considers the effect of geometric nonlinearity. The “element live ordead” technique is imported to simulate the construction order. The paper makes acomprehensive analysis of fastening and anchorage cable tension and construction camber andcross-section stress. The paper also uses approximation method to adjust the linear of the mainarch. By these control methods, the linear and stress of the rid achieve the good results. Notonly the bridge is constructed safely, but also we obtain many useful data that creates thecondition of research deeply.③The collapse of tie arch bridge is related to the suspender’s health. So control of thesuspender is important. Considering on all kinds of effect influencing factors, we monitor thesuspender’s tension effectively.
