Chongqing city is located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, river isnumerous, reasonable to the Chongqing river water function zoning, determine thedominant function、function sequence and length of the waters, making the the waterconservation goals,to realize the Chongqing city and even the upper reaches of theYangtze River water resources sustainable utilization, social, economic andenvironmental sustainable development has the very vital significance.In2010,withregional economic development needs,40rivers of the drainage area above1000km2divide water function zoning in Chongqing, formed two level water function areasystem in the basin as a unit. In performed water function zone which has high degreeof water quality and contradictions, water function area determination of length mainlyin the survey, lack of technical support, at home and abroad to determine the functionalarea calculation method less, in the functional area of the length of the rationality,reachability decision on subjective factors. According to the " Chongqing water functionzoning revision" project, by the method of numerical simulation for water function zone,the reasonable division provides the technical basis, analysis of typical water functionarea division of reasonable length. The main research contents are as follows:This article first from the domestic and foreign research review on water functionzoning, introduces the current research situation and existing problems, brieflyintroduced the result of first grade zones and second grade zones in Chongqing City.Evaluation of water environment quality in Chongqing City through the methods ofsingle factor evaluation methods, analyze the social economic development inChongqing city, establish the social economic development index and water qualitymodel, provide basis for water function area division.Put forward the water function division problems through to analysis theChongqing water function regionalization results, and suggests the use oftwo-dimensional water quality model to simulate the typical water function zone ofpollutants influence range, and to the Three Gorges Changshou industry, entertainmentlandscape water zone and the Three Gorges Nanan transition area as an example,establish MIKE212D water quality model, according to the actual water quality andhydrological data, choosing suitable model parameters, Calibration and verification forthe model. numerical simulation for water function zone typical sewage outfall pollutantdistribution using two-dimensional flow-pollutant model, analyze the pollutant diffusioncharacteristics and influences.Finally, according to the simulation results, from theregional economic development and the consistency and related planning andcompliance, and management of water function zones compliance, the pollutant capacity influence three aspects to analyze the rationality of water function area length.The results showed that: Chongqing city water quality compliance rate is good onthe whole, the city economic growth and environmental pollution level between basicconsistent with a three curve. Three Gorges Changshou industrial landscape recreationarea and the Three Gorges Nanan transition area length range with regional economicdevelopment planning, meet the water function region management requirements,reached the river water environment capacity total control requirements, length isreasonable.
