In this paper, modified asphalt at home and abroad, the status quo and developmenttrend based on ammonium polyphosphate as an asphalt modifier, ammoniumpolyphosphate, preparation methods, evaluation of ammonium polyphosphate modifiedasphalt pavement performance and combustion performance and analysis of its flameretardant mechanism, and to lay the foundation for the research, development andapplication of ammonium polyphosphate modified asphalt.The preparation of ammonium polyphosphate, analysis of ammoniumpolyphosphate polymerization degree of the impact factors, to select the optimalprepared by polymerization degree of ammonium polyphosphate. Ammoniumpolyphosphate according to different content with asphalt, ammoniumpolyphosphate-modified asphalt pavement performance, including: high temperatureperformance, low temperature performance, aging resistance, storage stability, andadhesion of the aggregate performance and SHARP trial evaluation. Analysis, theevaluation results and analysis of what kind of content on the asphalt modified better.Then mixed with different contents of ammonium polyphosphate modified asphaltcombustion test, and evaluation of its flame-retardant effect, smoke density and smoketoxicity. Finally, the flame retardant properties and road performance are better contentto the flame retardant mechanism analysis. Mechanism analysis methods,thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry analysis and differentialscanning calorimetry.
