The dynamic creep test and penetration test is done with the asphalt mixture in this paper, by changing the compaction times and the size of the proportion, and comparison and analysis of the two kinds of test methods in evaluating the asphalt mixture at high temperature stability of the correlation between the advantages and disadvantages is done, to guide the engineering application.In this study the type of asphalt mixture is gradation AC-13, gradation AC-16and gradation AC-20, penetration test gradation AC-13, AC-16, AC-20plate thickness with5cm,6cm and7cm, dynamic creep test plate thickness of7cm, dynamic creep burnish hind specimens height of63.5mm, penetration specimens height:AC-13for5cm,AC-16for6cm, AC-20for7cm. Three distribution in the different high penetration are tested by the large number of experiments carried out by the writer and match gate Hao Chen,to prove the three gradation penetration specimens the correctness of the height. Dynamic creep modulus Sdy and penetration stress P are got through the test, and shear strength S will be got by penetration stress P times coefficient τmax,which is used to compare dynamic creep modulus Sdy and shear strength S, and relevancy of dynamic creep test and penetration test is demonstrated.The results are shown as following:①With the compaction degree changing, dynamic creep modulus Sdy and penetration modulus Es have the same change trend, and both reach maximum at the same compaction times. therefore, two test methods in evaluating the mixture in the high temperature stability is consistent, namely both can substitute each other;②When changing asphalt-aggregate ratio, dynamic creep modulus of gradation AC-13mixture is influenced by proportion in the dynamic creep test, while the dynamic creep modulus of the other two mixture specimens reach the extreme when best proportion is prepared, so creep modulus has not anything to do with the proportion. But in the penetration test process dynamic creep modulus Es and shear strength S has good correlation with oil-stone ratio. When proportion reaches its best value, penetration modulus Es of extreme value is obtained,so penetration test can better to evaluate the high temperature stability of asphalt mixture than dynamic creep test.The reasons lead to the two kinds of different results above need further research.
