As the most potential renewable energy, the development and utilization of solar energyhave been far and widely concerned in the world. There are many solutions of photovoltaicpower system, and they can be divided into two main categories, including independent andgrid-connected power generation. Taking the whole independent photovoltaic powergeneration system as the research object, the paper focuses on the research of some keytechnologies, and presents an implementation scheme of independent photovoltaic powergeneration system based on DSP TMS320F2808.This paper elaborates the researching background of the photovoltaic power generation,and analyzes the current situation and development of the photovoltaic industry at home andabroad. Furthermore, the present researching status and technology traits of solar charger andinverter, which are the core devices of independent photovoltaic power generation system, areanalyzed, and the main study contents and the structure of this paper are summarized.The paper introduces the classification and the working principle of photovoltaic powergeneration. The most common way of battery charging control methods, the characteristics ofthe solar cell, and the principle of the maximum power point tracking technology are analyzed.The three-stage charging method of charging control and the perturbation and observationmethod of MPPT are discussed at emphasis.The hardware and software system of the solar charger and the sine wave inverter aredesigned in this paper. The theory of synchronous Buck circuit is studied. The synchronousbuck circuit, the push-pull boost circuit and sine wave full-bridge inverter circuit are analyzedin detail,and the key components of the circuit are designed and selected. Hardware andsoftware system based on DSP are designed systematically, which includes a drive circuit, theAD sampling circuit, various protection circuit etc; The software system is designed based onthe modular idea and the flow chart of the main program and interrupt programs arepresented. An experimental platform of independent photovoltaic power generation system basedon TMS320F2808is established. We had finished the experimental test of MPPT, sine waveinverter’s push-pull boost and full-bridge inverter, independent photovoltaic power generationsystem’s efficiency and other relevant experiment. And good experimental results wereachieved. The experiments showed that the independent photovoltaic power generationsystem based on DSP design is feasible.
