This paper first introduces the of Zhaoqing Power Grid220kV line status quo, including the the line basic situation and protection configuration. By research220kV Muduan jia and Muduan yi, in recent years, the operation of listed defects in recent years and deal with the situation, pointed out that the lack of protection configuration, then put forward to improve the protection measures of operational reliability. Followed by analysis of the electric power optical fiber current differential protection feasibility in Zhaoqing grid applications, mainly from the optical fiber and the current analysis, pointed out that the longitudinal differential protection features and advantages of optical fiber differential protection compared with existing high-frequency protection the technical advantages of optical fiber differential protection in Zhaoqing grid application. Then,220kV Muduan jia and Muduan yi as an example, the proposed220kV Line Protection transformation program, including equipment, protective devices and communication aspects of the transformation of content,220kV transmission line line fiber transformation, the existing high frequency protection upgrades for the optical fiber differential protection, thus greatly improving the reliability of the line protection. The end of the article, introduced the operation of the transmission lines after the transformation of optical fiber current differential protection, focusing on optical fiber differential protection problems encountered in the practical application of their solutions.
