In power stations, the station batteries are the core of the power supplysystem. They canprovide power supply to the station important loads when the substation AC voltage lost, andensure the station secondary equipments work.Battery group with better energy storage means the safe operation of power gridimprovement; The green vanadium battery station power system using a new energy storagehas some advantages,such as long service life, excellent performance, charge-discharge cyclesup to thousands of times, large capacity, safety and no pollution etc.. According to the actualsituation of Shenzhen110kV Da Peng substation station power system, this paper firstintroduces the principle and characteristics of vanadium redox battery energystorage,discusses the performances of vanadium battery,and analysis the basic structure andtechnical conditions of vanadium battery station power system. Secondly put forward thedesign of vanadium battery DC power supply system.In the110kV Da Peng substation station,increasing a set of220V vanadium battery based on a group220V original station battery,theprimary battery is not removed for mutual standby in the first year; third, establish thevanadium battery DC power supply system. Finally we introduce the daily maintenance ofvanadium battery station power system.As a new type of energy storage technology, the vanadium battery has more advantagesthan traditional lead-acid batteries, this also create broader space for the technology applied tonew energy field and power grid energy storage, peak load regulation, cutting the peak andfilling valley, the area of smart grid in future. The development and application of vanadiumbattery with the green environmental protection energy storage technology, not only isthe effective practice of the goal of constructing green power grid in Shenzhen powersupply bureau, but also can be used as an actively explore and technical reserves for thepower grid development frontier technology in future. It has great and far-reachingsignificance.
