Analysis of the impact of water intake-outlet layout on condenser vacuum and water environment is made by choosing Wu Shashan power plan as an example. At first, the characteristics of heat diffusion of the thermal discharge, differential method of water intake-outlet layout, and some factors of condenser vacuum are described in this paper. Then, the distributions of velocity and temperature of the heat diffusion of the thermal discharge are simulated using CFD software under the different conditions of water intake-outlet layout. The effect of water intake-outlet layout parametric on the water environment and condenser vacuum are obtained by analyzing the simulation results of the diffusion characteristics of thermal discharge. Improvement programs are proposed according to the influence of thermal discharge on water environment and condenser vacuum under each condition. And the corresponding improvement programs are simulated and analyzed. The conclusions can be considered as the certain reference for the water intake-outlet layout in the power plant.
