With the development of offshore platform electric power system and the increase of nonlinear load as Frequency conversion and energy saving equipments, the platform power system becomes more and more complex, and more and more accidents happen, which bring many difficulties to the platform safe operation. Therefore, for the offshore platform power system, to establish a set of integrated system, which including collection of information acquisition, real-time fault detection, fault recording, fault analysis and diagnosis, would provide not only the scientific basis for improving the quality of platform power supply, but also the strong guarantee for the operation and maintenance personnel timely troubleshooting, resuming production.This paper discussed the structure and function of the integrated fault diagnosis system, meanwhile, introduced the system hardware circuit briefly.This paper introduced the calculation method of the power quality parameters, and improved FFT frequency measurement method based on the deducing FFT frequency measurement formulas and simulating the frequency measurement results using real time data. Improved method, which had higher frequency measurement precision and simpler calculation process and less calculation data, could meet the platform system need of real time frequency monitoring.This paper especially introduced the criterion of starting, and aiming at the characteristics of electrical power system, for the neutral point grounding system, this paper improved the fault line selection and fault phase selection algorithm and made it be applicable for each fault type. Moreover, this paper verified this algorithm, confirmed that fault line selection and fault phase selection algorithm could maintain a high accuracy.This paper introduced the function of each system component in detail, which mainly included real time monitoring interface, graphic editing, function configuration and function realization. The function realization contained the power quality analysis, fault recorder, small current grounding fault line selection, motor incipient fault diagnosis, fault diagnosis and protection action analysis etc. and introduced the fault recording start mode, data recording method, recorder file format in detail.
