In order to improve the reusability, expansibility and application flexibility of the substation simulation software, this paper analyzes the basic function of substation simulation software, then proposes a service-oriented, rich-client substation simulation software architecture. Based on service-oriented software design concept and using Visual Studio2010development environment, this paper studies the design and implementation of integrative graphic model library of substation simulation software which applies to principle learning.First, this paper analyzes the basic function and business logic of substation simulation software integrative graphic model library with unified modeling language (UML). It designs the basic graph, operational function, and database tables. Second, combined with the developing new internet technology, this paper creates Web services and sets up integrative graphic model library technical architecture. This paper uses desktop communication interface technology (WCF) to build programming framework of loose coupling communication between different services, defines service call interface, and implement the release and hosting services. With Silverlight technology, this paper develops the presentation layer of integrative graphic model library software which supports cross-browser, cross-platform rich Internet application. This not only improves the convenience and flexibility of simulation software in the simulation study, but also is convenient for simulation software to migrate to cloud platform when cloud technology matures. Finally, this paper discusses the deployment of Web application and the improvement that the Web application needs.
