When a vehicle is in an emergency braking situation, The ABS (Anti-lock BrakingSystem) has been worked as an initiative security system, which can ensure the wheelsnot to be locked and keep its riding stability and handling directional stability. As the keycomponent of pneumatic ABS system, the performance of the pneumatic ABS regulatorhas a significant impact on the ABS braking effect. The major work of this paper is theresearch of pneumatic ABS regulator and the design in detecting system of pneumaticbrake regulator control characteristics. Finally, based on this detecting system,experimental analyses and actual evaluations were carried out, which can improve thedetection efficiency of the baric ABS regulator and ensure effective reasonableness ofproducts before they leave the factory.This paper is carried out around the key Scientific and technological project“Auto-Measurement Technique and Equipments Research of Pneumatic Brake Regulatorfor Commercial Vehicle” of Chongqing. Following is the specific content:Firstly, the structure、 operating principle、 static characteristics and dynamiccharacteristics of the pneumatic ABS regulator are discussed and studied. A detectionmethod which conforms to the state standards was established. According to this method,a kind of system was put forward. It was used on the production line alone, achievingautomatic detection、data acquisition and processing、analysis and evaluation. In addition,the model of pneumatic ABS regulator control unit was established by AMESim, acomparison between the simulation results and experimental results of staticcharacteristics and dynamic characteristics was giving. The experimental results agreewell with that simulation results.Secondly, with LabVIEW/CVI researching platform, a real-time onlinemeasurement and control system is developed. The system includes the design ofpneumatic system、electrical control system、clamp and fixture system and detectionsystem, The selection and calibration of sensor、signal processing、circuit inside of ECUand anti-interference technique were discussed. Based on LSM and wavelet analysis, thesoftware of the system can control the real-time data filtering and analyzing, data saving,and printing report form.Finally, the paper debugs the system from the aspect of hardware and software. And the system was developed and verified in experiment. The conclusion can be drawn thatthis detecting system is proved to be very useful in engineering application, has a goodexpansibility and high cost performance, easy to develop.The whole paper is accomplished by theoretical analyses, mathematic modeldescriptions, theoretical discussions and the design of system. Therefore, the research ondetecting system of pneumatic ABS regulator control characteristics for commercialvehicle can produces the huge economic benefits and social benefits. It has great realisticsignificance for the pneumatic productions of commercial vehicle.
