Taking advantage of simple but practical digital control technology, to develop anddesign compact size but general purpose, intelligent and high-performance ultrasonicpower supply has become a hot topic both at home and abroad. At present there is somelimitation for domestic ultrasonic power supply such as fixed waveform, narrow frequencyband, unique application etc... Newly-designed high-precision ultrasonic power supply canenable switch of ultrasonic transducer driven by different waveform and frequency signal,which provide the possibility of one ultrasonic power supply for different application. Thispaper aims at developing a programmable ultrasonic power supply with selectablewaveform and adjustable frequency&power, then can be connected to different ultrasonictransducer for precision instrument.The paper first briefs the ultrasonic power supply status and working principle ofultrasonic transducer, then elaborated the adjustable ultrasonic power supply workingprinciple, structure and implementation scheme; also introduced the hardware and softwaredesign consisting of FPGA based signal generator, D/A converters, signal filters, poweramplifiers; finally also illustrate the feasibility of the hardware and software design bysimulation.Adjustable ultrasonic power supply mainly uses software algorithm, adopting FPGAand DDS techniques to adjust its output signal. The design has taken the advantages ofdigital control technology—easy adjustment and combines virtues of analogy controlcircuits—high precision, successfully ensure output frequency accuracy within1Hz. Withthe above, programmable ultrasonic power supply can be used together with all kinds ofultrasonic measurement system of different ultrasonic transducer.
