| In this paper, based on the interrelated theory of IR and MMW, as well as the development of the compound decoy, a pyrotechnic material with the capability of self-ignition when deposited, consisting of a metal foil coated with a combustible material layer, was put forwarded. The preparation technology of combustible foil was studied via three different methods: slurry method, combustible metal power method and coating method. The effects on the combustible foil of several main factors during preparation such as binder content, solvent volume and process of treatment were studied through massive experiments, resulting in the determination of a relatively simple and stable preparation method. In view of infrared radiation properties and its influencing factors, the combustion temperature, radiance and spectral properties of combustible foil were tested with the usage of SC700Infrared Thermal Imager and OPAG33FT-IR. The effects of foil size, binder content, particle size of combustible material and IR-characteristic addictive on the IR properties were studied. As a consequence, the combustible foil with optimal IR properties was prepared. In view of millimeter-wave scattering properties and its influencing factors,3mmRCS of combustible material was tested by millimeter-wave RCS test systems, and effects of shape, size and material of foil as well as combustible material layer were further investigated. Studies showed that combustible foil possessed good IR and MMW properties. |
