The precondition for the application of liquid-solid FAE is that it is stable and safe. In this paper, some related documents of liquid-solid FAE’s physical and chemical stability has been collected. Thermal stability, compatibility and physical stability of liquid-solid FAE are researched.Taking advantage of micro-calorimeter C80, heat stability and compatibility of the fuel are researched. When the temperature is kept at a constant100℃, both of the liquid and solid compositions of the fuel have good thermal stability. The fuel’s chemical stability is good. The compatibility between liquid and solid compositions is very well. The liquid composition B and C won’t decomposite until the temperature reaches300℃, but when it is above120℃, they are able to react with the oxygen in the air. Liquid composition A will decompose when the temperature is above150℃. Through the method of Freeman Carroll, the incompatibility between three kinds of liquid compositions is proved very well.Through the method of Scanning Electron Microscope experiments, shapes of mostly fuel’s solid particles are observed sphere, and the diameter of solid particles is between one and ten microns. They separate to each other and the agglomeration phenomenon don’t exist. According to relative theory of coating system, a new method is imitated to judge the settlement extent of solid particles in the fuel. The conclusion is that the settlement is very weak, the fuel’s storage stability is good.Add a small amount of dispersant could significantly increase the dispersion degree of solid particles, enhance the fuel’s physical stability. Grinding and mixing can reduce the particle size of solid particles, increase the degree of particle dispersion and improve the physical stability of the fuel.Through the method of Bohlin CS cone plate rheometer experiments, the variation of the fuel’s viscosity is researched. When the temperature is kept at a constant20℃, the viscosity of the fuel can be reduced by increasing the additives’content and reducing the proportion of solid components. After a period of storage, the fuel’s viscosity will decrease. The fuel system has good thixotropic property. When there is no shear stress, the viscosity of the fuel is very large. This is beneficial for storage stability of the fuel, howerer, when a small shear stress is applied to the fuel, its viscosity will decrease to close to zero quickly, this is beneficial for spilling the fuel. When the fuel is static, its viscosity is very large and its physical stability is good.
