It is important to monitor the parameters of distribution transformer by smart monitoring device to improve safe operaion and reliable power supply in distribution voltage network. The load and reactive power are two important parameters for the normal operation of distribution transformers. This thesis researches how to apply load management and reactive power compensation technology to the exploition of smart teminal in regional electric power burean.Firstly, the thesis overviews the research status and development trend of distribution transformer monitoring terminal device, and introduces load management methods and reactive power compensation technology. The thesis surveys the current status and functional requirements of rural distribution voltage network. The thesis researches measures of load management and reactive power compensation for the rural distribution power network and proposes "voltage","voltage+reactive power","voltage+power factor" of three reactive power compensation control modes. The three modes get voltage as the primary control objectives.The design idea of load management is when the distribution transformer overload, it imples rolling power failure in neighborhood by simply and economically. It protects the distribution transformer from running overload by limiting power. According to the reactive power compensation control mode proposed, the thesis designs the method of reactive power compensation. It designs switching automatic for reactive power compensation devices to achieve the demand of reactive power.Based on the above software design ideas, the thesis introduces monitoring terminal hardware structure and software functions based on μC/OS-Ⅱ embedded real time operating system. And the thesis designs the control softwares of load management and reactive power compensation.They realizes the basic function of load management and three control modes function of reactive power compensation. The hardware and software has been debugged jointly. The result of debugging show that the control scheme proposed is feasible. It meets the requirements for load management and reactive power compensation of smart monitoring terminal.
