Now in order to solve the dual crisis of energy and environment, hybrid electricvehicle becames a national research focus in the transition period of the traditional carand electric vehicle. The electric drive system as one of the most important system inHEV, plays the leading role in the performance of HEV. It is considered the reliableguarantee of the normal running of vehicle.Especially in the early development stage ofHEV, the system is not fully mature and easy to malfunction, the accurate and quick faultdiagnosis for drive system is very important.The electric drive system of HEV is researched,the principle and the characteristicsof typical electric drive system is analyzed in this dissertation. Reasons of the commonfault mechanisms in HEV electric drive system is analyzed. This dissertation focuses onmotor which is the heart of electric drive system.The fault diagnosis of permanent magnetsynchronous motor(PMSM) is selected to research and the intelligent BP artificial neuralnetwork simulating the way of human thinking is used as the core of diagnosis system.Then the fault diagnosis model of PMSM is established. Based on the consideration of theown imperfections of BP network algorithm, The simulation and the confirmation of faultsamples is carried on by using six kinds of BP optimized algorithms separately. Theresults of experiment demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the fault diagnosismodel based on BP neural network. Finally, one of the algorithms is considered to besuitable for this study.Making the use of the advantages of LabVIEW software friendly interface, strongconnection ability, simple program development and so on. Through LabVIEW VISA Serialfunction the serial communication program is written, hardware communication circuitbased on CAN bus is designed, mixing programming with MATLAB software is realizedby using the MATLAB Script node and user login menu is added to improve confidentiality.Eventually fault diagnosis of electric drive system based on the LabVIEW interactiveplatform is established.
