While a series of problems of recycling batteries used on the vehiclesefficiently arise with the continual development and application of electricvehicles in our country. It is of most significance and profundity to conduct theresearch on battery recycling technology and reuse reasonable as for energysaving, environment friendly, economic construction, the strategic objectives ofsustainable development and the healthy development of the electric vehicleindustry. In this thesis, the test on electrical performance of standard and recycledbattery for electric vehicles is presented in the first part. A conclusion is drawnfrom the analysis of the test that the general performance of recycled batteries ispretty good but the capacity of charge and discharge is partly reduced whichprovides the pre-conditions for the batteries with reusing in other applications.By analyzing the current methods of classification, the method of recycledbatteries using spectrum points is adopted and confirmed by the outcome.Through the analysis of reliability of connection process of battery system, theconnection of recycled batteries is settled as first parallel the in series, andconduct test on the performance of new combinations of batteries.A conclusion can be drawn from the affected factors of reduced capacity ofLi-ion battery and the analysis on the experimental data of cycle charging anddischarging of recycled batteries that the hold rate of capacity maintained aspecified rule as the increment of numbers of cycle. Analysis on dataapproximation method and data processing software is conducted, usingMATLAB software and polynomial least squares method to simulate the data ofrealistic capacity of recycled battery and create the attenuation model of theresidual life. This model was proved feasible for the use of predicting theresidual life of recycled batteries by the test. In the last part, the thesis has described the research on the possibleapplications of recycled batteries for electric vehicles, results have indicated thatthe recycled battery can be reasonably applied in photovoltaic power generationsystem, wind power systems, power peaking, mobile base station system asstorage batteries through classification of group technology.
