As modern battlefield’s the demand, we are no longer satisfied with acquiring three-dimensional coordinates of the target:distance, azimuth, pitch.We hope acquiring earth coordinates of the target:longitude, latitude, height.And then it is marked in the electronic map that we need, in order to real time carry out reconnaissance to enemy and carry out valid analysis and estimate of the battlefield situation.We named it target positioning. Along with the development need of the network cooperative engagement of multi-platform system and multi-weapon system, it is more and more important to need target positioning.Target positioning technique on helicopter airborne photoelectric sight system,the main idea is through corresponding algorithm to real time calculations geodetic coordinate of the ground target. It’s based on aircraft attitude data provided by helicopter inertial navigation equipment, combined with aircraft position provided by the GPS, as well as azimuth angle and pitch angle of the airborne photoelectric sight system and target distance obtained by the laser rangefinder.The target positioning principle and procedure of airborne stabilized-aiming system are introduced detailedly in the article by coordinate conversion.On the basis of reasonable coordinate definition, mathematical model is constructed about coordinate conversion, and software positioning arithmetic is brought forward. Validity of arithmetic is verified by ground test.In addition, the factors resulting in stabilized-aiming system positioning accuracy and error composition are given and analyzed deeply.
