In recent years, cars are widely used in people’s lives, and which has also led to some social problems appears such as traffic congestion and excessive exhaust emissions. Unmanned intelligent vehicle has improved those problems above, not only reduced the driver’s pressure, eased the traffic jams, but also promoted the development of China’s automobile industry. Unmanned intelligent car is a car without the driver. The car’s state parameters of running state and path lines are controlled by wireless remote control and some programs. And then the car will drive automatically.The section on the path to boot of unmanned intelligent car is the main content in this paper. The research background and significance and the development of the situation at home and abroad was first introduced in the paper. And, the modules of path on the boot system and knowledge of vehicle location and navigation system was introduced. Then the representation of network was expounded, the classification of road resistance function is discussed. In the end, the topology of the road network is established.The path planning algorithm is studied in the fourth part. The ant colony algorithm is selected in this paper. The basic idea and implementation steps of ant colony algorithm are analysed in detail.And the algorithm is improved from different perspectives. The algorithm is applied to dynamic traffic system at last.The testing platform of unmanned vehicle is described in the end of this paper. It includes two parts of hardware and software design. The procedures of path acquisition and tracking are written in VB language. Four groups of tests were made on the basis of the road network and improved algorithm. Then the traditional algorithm was made contrasted with the three improved algorithm. At last, I made the conclusion that the improved algorithm is able to meet the requirements of security and real-time in vehicle system.
