The HVDC project is mainly suitable for long-distance, high-capacity transmission. Itplays an important role in spanned grid interconnection in China. The reverse distributioncharacteristic of the energy in China determines the weak sending end HVDC is not aspecial case. With the rapid development of HVDC technology and the commissioning ofthe HVDC project in recent years, the HVDC control strategy has also been fullydeveloped; As the particularity of the point-to-net HVDC, the control strategy of weaksystem at AC sending end HVDC has become a new challenge.This paper analyzes the HVDC control system modeling on the basis of analysis ofthe HVDC Transmission Project, summarizes the weak sending end island operationHVDC control strategies. Based on the control strategy of weak sending end HVDC andthe main parameters and boundary conditions of Huliao HVDC, this paper uses powersystem simulation software PSCAD/EMTDC to build a model of weak sending6unitsHuliao HVDC which can meet the strategy of DC control of the Primary circuit, andanalyzes its main parameters.On the basis of the Huliao HVDC modeling, we study the three-phase short circuit,single-phase ground fault simulation at the sending system, and prove the correctness ofthe system structures.The simulation is realistic to verify the correctness of the conclusions, and provides asimulation model for the follow-up study, the research and simulation of the control systemis important for the stable operation of the weak sending system, the modeling HuliaoHVDC has a certain significance to the running of the actual project.
