Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells(DSSCs)are a new solar cell becausethey can overcome some weaknesses of inorganic semiconductormaterials which own weak absorption capacity. Metal complexes andorganic dyes make up the most important parts of solar cells, rutheniumcomplexes and triphenylamine dyes show good properties, andruthenium dyes showed the highest efficiency which was near to12%.Most people modify the metal-free organic dyes by changing donorsto get different electron-donating abilities so far, the π units and acceptorunits were changed little, so we prepared several D-π-A organic dyespossessing different receptors and π-conjugated linkers and thedyes-sensitized devices were also characterized. The main contents arefollowing:(1) We designed a new acceptor unit which contains two cyano-groups,and we have synthesized several dyes which are made up ofdihexyloxy-substituted triphenylamine donors, different π-conjugatedlinkers such as double bond、furan, thiophenein and the new acceptor. And their photophysical properties were characterized.(2) Several dyes which contain dihexyloxy-substituted triphenylaminedonors, new π-conjugated linkers and cyanoacetic acid as acceptors weresynthesized, and their photophysical properties were characterized.
