With steady development of the global economic and continuous growth of the population, the world energy crisis has been became a common problem due to the gradually reduced fossil energy, such as oil, gas and coal. So the new energy application is becoming a global hot spot. Solar energy resources is one of the most abundant renewable energy sources, which are widely distributed, reproductive and of no pollution, and is internationally recognized as an ideal alternative energy sources..Solar photovoltaic power generation technology is an integrated technology which combines semiconductor materials technology, power electronics technology, modern control technology, battery technology and electric power engineering technology. Photovoltaic converter technology, in which the study is focus on the hardware circuit and control algorithm in recent years, has obtained the rapid development. Based on fully understand the photovoltaic converter status, it thorough researches on the key technology in this paper. The input terminal of the Micro-PV converter (MIC) is connected to an individual PV module with the power level of100-500W, which is determined by the input PV module type. The output of the Micro-PV converter is directly connected to the power grid in parallel, which is took as a large battery, to realize the maximum efficiency.Following works have been done in this paper,(1) It is introduced for traditional photovoltaic principle, the global energy crisis, new energy technology and current situation of the photovoltaic grid converter.(2) The photovoltaic converter circuit topology structure and characteristics are analyzed in the paper and the development trend and direction of MIC are pointed out.(3) According to the characteristics of MIC, A new MIC power circuit is proposed which has a simple inverter control circuit and insufficiency for every power circuit.(4) Close control circuit loop design method is proposed, and the system is simulated by PSIM software to test the accuracy.(5) With the calculation of main component parameters. The hardware of one200W MIC system is built and the result of experimental showing the circuit waveform are matched up to theoretical analysis and simulation, which will lay a good foundation for further studies of MIC.
