Lithium bromide aqueous solution is common working fluids in absorption heat pump systems and absorption refrigerating mechines. Absorption heat pump systems which work with lithium bromide aqueous solution have attractived widely attention due to their applications in industrial waste-heat recovery and increasing energy utilization. The basic thermalphysic properties of lithium bromide aqueous solution are particularly important in absorption heat pump systems optimization design and improving waste-heat recovery efficiency. The vapor liquid phase equilibrium(VLE) data is one of the most important thermalphysic properties for lithium bromide aqueous solution, while its temperature range is not wide enough for developing high temperature (more than210℃) absorption heat pump systems as result of lacking VLE data in that range. So it is necessary for determining VLE data for high temperature lithium bromide aqueous solution by experimental method.A set of VLE data determination apparatus was developed based on static method, the VLE data of water in the temperature range of170.93~207.35℃was determined by this apparatus and the experimental data was compared with IAPWS(International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam) data, the average relative deviation (ARD), maximum relative deviation and minimum relative deviation is0.47%,0.91%and0.01%, respectively, which tested the reliability of the VLE apparatus.VLE data of lithium bromide aqueous solution was determined at temperatures ranging from156.06℃to257.84℃and at concentrations ranging from43.09wt%to65.29wt%. A lager range of temperature correlation was developed for lithium bromide aqueous solution VLE data, the P-T-X equation is: A0=-1.856273,A1,=1.040801, A2=17.793261A3=1.979759,A4=0.417572, A5=-4.159284 Xw is water mole fraction,Xn=1-0.415751295X/100-0.584287X Pw is the saturated pressure of water at T℃,kPa.156.06≤T≤257.84℃43.09≤X≤6529wt%;...
