The treatment of sewage from ships has become one of the most urgent problems in order to protect China’s current water environmental. China’s current treatment of sewage from ships technology is still in its infancy, the actual board processing sewage from ships devices simply imitates the land treatment of municipal sewage device, however, municipal sewage and ship sewage was significantly different in composition, and treated sewage discharged by the imitated service fails to meet the effluent discharge standards. In addition, with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) MARPOL73Convention Annex IV-Prevention of pollution by sewage, this puts the discharge of sewage from ships forward higher requirements.Ship sewage composition and the composition of municipal sewage a slight difference mainly reflected in the salinity of sewage from ships larger sewage load greater impact. So based on the pollutant content of the sewage from ships as well as domestic and foreign experience in the treatment of sewage from ships, the research project designs a new and improved MBR method loop through the ship sewage treatment process. Because sewage from ships has differences with ordinary city sewage, activated sludge from the ordinary urban sewage treatment plants must be taken to the cultivation and acclimatization, then it can be put into the experiment of the research topic. The original activated sludge after37days of cultivation and46days of acclimation turns to be the special nature of the activated sludge through concentration gradient method to improve the salt tolerance of the original activated sludge. Because time is limited, the salinity of waste water is0.8%. In the sewage treatment process, we can find that membrane module is easily contaminated. Part of the activated sludge attached to the viscous substance in the membrane surface. The sludge secretion blocked film hole. The effluent water decreasing resulted in reduced cycle efficiency of the system. We need use backwash and chemical cleaning maintenance to clean the membrane regularly.Through this experiment we can find that sewage COD values are significant downward trend, the COD value from467.4mg/L decreased to50.49mg/L, COD removal rate reached89.20%. NH4-N values from48.2mg/L decreased to21.6mg/L, the average removal rate is about35.28%. Effluent COD and NH4-N values are to meet the national effluent discharge standards.
