In the coastal areas of our country,power plant cooling system generally adopts seawater,in which all metal components in contact with the sea water face different levels ofcorrosion problems. In corrosion protection practice, one of anticorrosion means is thecathodic protection.Because of its formulation of plan mostly adopts experience estimationmethod, it is easy to cause owe protection or over-protection. Using the water pump in thecooling water system of power plant and based on the COMSOL software, this papernumerically simulate the cathodic protection potential on the surface of the pump,by whichcan we get the potential distribution and then overcome the defects in the cathodicprotection engineering design because of the traditional experience estimate.So this papercan predictably implement the optimization design of anti-corrosion system and thenprovides theoretical reference for project implementation.This article main research content is:(1) Analysis of corrosion and protection of power plant cooling system.This paper discuss and analyzes the specific corrosive environment of power plantcooling system,and then clear and definite the mechanism of sea water pump corrosion andthe principle of cathodic protection, by which it can provide premise conditions foranalysis and determining pump protection boundary conditions.(2) Derived the simulation model and Determine the boundary conditions.In simplified condition,this paper analysis in a tiny cell angle and then establishmathematical model of potential state in seawater under cathodic protection based on theclassical electric field theory and ohm’s law.Then combined with the actual corrosionenvironment, this paper analysis and determine the polarization process hybrid controlsteps from the point of view of corrosion dynamic and meanwhile determine polarizationcharacteristics with the actual situation more in line and improve boundary conditionunreliability under simply activate the control steps.(3) Cathodic protection validation model test and analysis of influencing factors andexperiment error.By the measured method of cathodic protection potential,this paper validatesimulation model by which to ensure the reliability of the mathematical model andboundary conditions. At the same time,the influence law of the steel tube potential with the anode number, location and other factors are discussed in the validation example,whichprovide a reference for cathodic protection design.(4) Cathodic protection scheme optimization design of the pump.Based on numerical calculation software COMSOL,this paper optimize the protectionscheme using parameterized scan.Ultimately this paper give the optimal protection schemeof setup of various auxiliary anode parameters, which provide theoretical support forengineering practice.
