The electronic control technology in the automobile power steering systemapplication, make the car driving performance achieved satisfactory degree. Aftermany years of exploration, electric power steering as a kind of new power steeringmodel into the industry field of vision, and soon became power steering systemresearch and development of hot spot. With the development of automobile industry,people gradually the pursuit of security, portable and comfortable drivingenvironment, car steering system consists of steering system common to powersteering system development. Power steering device points pneumatic/hydraulic powersteering and electric power steering, including electric power steering (EPS) light,simple, energy saving, clean etc, and has attracted people favor. Have graduallyreplace other power mode trend. This topic is the meaning of the research through directusing torque signal as steering gear return-to-center control basis, and, on this basis,puts forward does not need to configuration Angle sensor return-to-center controlstrategy. It is a new type of return-to-center control strategy, this strategy to functionprinciple as the theoretical basis, can be in does not affect the driver control handlelemmas, improve the vehicle’s back is performance. Such not only save the traditionalAngle sensor complex design, further improve the return-to-center control, save thecost, compared with the traditional control method more environmental protection. Ithas important practical significance.This paper studies is divided into the following several aspects:(1)through consulting a number of literature material, understanding of theelectric power steering at home and abroad research status, this paper discusses theresearch purpose and meaning.(2)According to the car back to positive conditions, use according to the torquesignal, as steering wheel Angle estimation basis, and, on this basis, puts forward does not need to configuration Angle sensor return-to-center control strategy.
