Current status, assessment of the wind resource characteristics are mainly dependent onthe weather station data or wind measurement tower data. But it lacks comprehensivenessconsidering factors when affecting the characteristics of the wind resource. In the case of thegeneral warming of the global climate, the frequency of extreme weather gradually increased,and brought a lot of influence on the actual production and living. At the same time,18th CPCNational Congress was held to speed up the urbanization process in China, the number ofurban-rural integration in buildings, especially high-rise buildings will continue to increase.Due to the presence of building, the wind resource characteristics will arise some changes.This paper selected China’s largest wind farm-Xinjiang dabancheng as the object of study,and combines with the local weather station data to explore the impact of wind resourcecharacteristics under extreme weather and building. The impact is described from thetheoretical and numerical analysis. The mathematical model of temperature or building withthe wind resource characteristics was established through the theoretical analysis. Thenumerical simulation software simulated the wind resource characteristics change ofmathematical model. The results show that: the role of the extreme temperatures, wind speedvaries with temperature, and the performances of wind turbine blades have a certain impact.Comparison of average temperature, the leaves of the equivalent stress, equivalent strain,displacement vector increases by236%,235%,278%under the action of annual extrememinimum temperature. In a further analysis of the fatigue life, the fatigue life of the blade rootis significantly reduced. When building upwind a wind farm, the shape of the building,orientation, height and distance of the wind farm affect the wind resource characteristics. Inthe combination effect of building features, the wind resource characteristics and windgenerating capacity decrease. As the shape of the building increases, height increase, thecloser distance from the wind farm. The generating capacity decrease relatively of9.4%,13.9%,15.6%. Wake losses relative increase of9.9%,31.2%,38.6%. wind resource availability decreases. When considering the combined effect of the two, under the influenceof a building, as the temperature increases, the static pressure is gradually reduced, the staticpressure changes in the amplitude decreases gradually, the wind speed is gradually increased,and the instability of the wind increases.It can provide more comprehensive theoretical guidance to analyz and explore the factorsthat affect the wind resource characteristics, pre-construction wind resource assessment forwind farms. Theories can direct practice and be verified in practice.
