The aim of the paper is to analyze seismic performance of steel frame shear wall buildingstructures of Urumqi. First, the paper summarizes and reviews the current situation anddevelopment trend of China’s steel residential structure systems. Based on the review, thepaper illustrates the seismic performance of various steel structure systems, and expounds thebasic theories of analyzing seismic performance of steel structure systems, and basicprinciples of calculating seismic performance of steel structure systems and reviewingseismic performance of different steel structure systems.Steel frame shear wall structure in form has better anti-away performance than pure steelframe structure. First, The paper simulates and analyzes the two identical operatingconditions of steel frame structure and Steel frame shear wall structure by MIDAS GENfinite element analysis software. Then the paper discusses the structure deformation of steelstructure and steel frame shear wall structure under the earthquake and trend of the changesof the column sheared stiffness inter layer. Next, the paper compares structure deformation oftwo models by selecting10representative modes, and respectively analyzes the seismicresponse and power of two structure systems under acceleration response spectrum. Throughcomparison and analysis relevant data are obtained. The paper finally draws conclusions andproposes suggestions for improving the design of steel frame shear wall structure of Urumqi.
