As an important component widely used in vehicles, ships and engineering machineries, wet multi-disk clutch transmits power which comes from engine, depending on the friction force between friction discs and steel discs. In the engagement process of wet multi-disk clutch, because of the rotation speed difference between driving parts and driven parts, relative sliding exists in the friction pairs, and a mass of friction heat is generated. If wet multi-disk clutch at work temperature is greater than the heat capacity design itself, it will lead to resulte in the hot cracks, warping of discs, regional burning loss and stripping of surface materials, and it will have direct influence on the vehicle reliability and safety.This pape rmainly includes the following contents:(1)study on the splash or "oil-rain" cooling, forced circulation cooling liquid and axis structure, and analysis the principle of the three kinds of oil cooling supply, and based on the clutch model for forced circulation cooling liquid, put forward the improvement structure—the centrifugal shaft oil cooling. The circuit simulation model is proposed for the two kinds of different cooling structure;(2)using the three-dimensional drawing software ProE, the two simulation models are established, and with the meshing software ICEM completed the grid job related part of the circuit structure. The temperature field of forced circulation cooling liquid and the centrifugal shaft oil cooling are simulated in the ANSYS-CFX, the simulation, comparison and analysis of the difference of heat transfer between the friction plates surfaces are established. The centrifugal shaft oil supply heat exchange effect is good, and the optimization design of injection hole diameter puts forward optimization design method;(3)analysis the coolant flow required on the friction surface cooling, and summarizes the specified is charge (unit friction coolant flow on the surface)formula. Comparative analysis of the cooling flow, centrifugal shaft rotating speed, friction plate separation gap influence factors on the effect of heat transfer between the friction plate. Summarized the influence regularity of heat exchange of different conditions on the friction surface average temperature and sheets, and put forward the optimization strategy.This article on wet multi-disk clutch friction plate temperature characteristic research has a certain theoretical and practical significance to improve the wet multi-disk friction clutch performance, prolong the service life and high performance of the wet multi-disk clutch design and development.
