Applications of new techniques, equipments, manufactory methods and standards have spread the wings under Chinese high-speed railway innovations in recent years, especially the ballastless track, which is the most choice of railway structure mode attributable to its outstanding vehicle ride, stability and endurability. However, damages still exist in components and other parts of ballastless track when undertaking dynamic load during the trains operation running at high-speed with high density of loads induced. Damages can lead to various problems ranging from comfort loss to even the safety threatening. Therefore, maintenance should be done against the damages to improve performance of components and ensure the operation. In this paper, classifications and their peculiarities of Chineses high-speed railway are analysed in first chapter. With techniques and experiences consulted from ballastless railway maintenance examples, this paper also provides illustration and analysis related to rail steel, fastener and bed board maintenance. All these provide the data support for the research of the high-speed railway Ballastless track component damage management system. To achieve the goals under the economical, timeliness and efficiency consideration, the management of tremendous data generated in maintenance becomes necessary. The existing engineering information management system is still far from the requirement of the practical work. While in actual practices, the cumbersome processes and writing tables have imposed the negative effects when conducting the maintenance. To tackle the problems, this paper is completed on the platform of Acce-ss2010and Visual Basic for Application(VBA)and introduce a new management system for ballastless track component damages combining both procedures of system development and engineering considerations. Functions as statistics, inquiry, analysis, editing and output were realized. The system promotes the development of daily maintenance and repair work for the high-speed railway Ballastless track.
