The traditional structural system of clay brick of the multi-story residence structural system has been forbidden by government in recent years because of its seriously destroying the farmland, consuming a lot of energy, poor performance in seismic property in my country. So a economy, rational structure of good performance is suggested and then substitutes for brickwork wall. A compound structure system with reinforced concrete small column, beam and chevron braces is proposed by previous study. Based on theoretical and experimental studies on chevron brace compound structures, the finite element solid model of the seismic behavior of the other types of braced compound structures is analyzed by ANSYS. It is systematically on hysteresis models of the compound structures. The mainly contents are listed as follows.Finite element solid model is adopted to analysis a compound structure, and the simulated results are compared with experimental results under laterally reversed low-cyclic loading. Analysis results indicate that the positions and orders of cracks simulated by separate model coincide with those of tests. Hysteresis curves and skeleton curves are consistent with experimental values. The finite element results on cracking load, yield load and ultimate load are in good agreement with experimental results. Therefore, the finite element analytical model is able to simulate test results accurately, which can be used to analyze the seismic behavior of the other types of braced compound structures.Moreover, based on the analysis above, the layout schemes of the braces used in the compound structures of different door and window openings are advanced. Seismic behavior of the compound structure with splayed braces and herringbone braces over door and X braces over windows are studied by the finite element analytical model. The crack positions, hysteresis curves, skeleton curves and anti-seismic capacity of compound structures with different braces are obtained, the anti-seismic capacity of these compound structures are compared, which will provide a certain theoretical basis for engineering applications.At last, based on contrastive analysis of the finite element calculations and test results, a retrogressive qua-linear restoring force model is proposed for the hysteretic model of the compound structures. The computing model of stiffness of each lines are put forward, the parameters of hysteretic model for each type of bracing compound structures are determined. A rational hysteretic model of the compound structures is proposed.
