The main damage forms of cement concrete pavement includes broken slab, faulting of slab ends, joint damage. Poor load transfer ability between plates is a reason that not allow to ignore. So study of dowel bar is one of the main tasks to improve durability of pavement. Civil road design at present stage gives priority to the steel dowel. But it exists many disadvantages, such as prone to corrosion. From the1960s to now, many scholars at home and abroad dedicated to the study of using fiber reinforced composite materials instead of steel. Basalt fiber reinforced polymer relies on a lot of advantages of its own to get a lot of attention. Its application prospect in the civil engineering structures is broad.This article adopts the new type of basalt fiber reinforced polymer to systematic analyze and study the cement concrete pavement performance of the basalt fiber reinforced polymer, aiming at solving traditional issues of reinforcement corrosion in reinforced concrete and improving the use performance of cement concrete pavement in the construction, corrosion resistance and durability.This paper adopts the finite element software ABAQUS to modal cement concrete pavement equipped with dowel bar in three dimensional finite element numerical simulations. Analyze the mechanical response of cement road panel with dowel bar in the condition of different diameter, length, and distance. Study the influence on the joint transmission capacity and pavement plate stress in different contact characteristics on the interface between the dowel bar and concrete. Study the law of load transfer capacity of the joints with dowel bar under the action of wheel loads. Analyze the road use performance with dowel bar and the contact stress between cement concrete pavements.Comparatively analyze the road use performance of basalt fiber reinforced polymer and steel dowel bar as dowel bar. Test and verify the feasibility that basalt fiber reinforced polymer instead the steel as dowel bar. According to the pavement stress and dowel bar stress of the basalt fiber reinforced polymer cement concrete pavement under the action of load to carry out the geometry size of basalt fiber reinforcement polymer dowel bar and the pavement structure design in layout slab, etc.
